As football fans look ahead to this summer's FIFA World Cup, a Coventry entertainment venue is marking a special milestone for those born in 1966.
Sixty years have passed since England lifted the World Cup trophy in one of the most memorable moments in the nation's sporting history. To celebrate the anniversary, Star Pins at Coventry's West Orchards is offering a free game of bowling to people born in the same year.
The initiative gives local residents born in 1966 the opportunity to enjoy a game of bowling with family or friends during the tournament period.
The venue plans to screen World Cup matches throughout the competition, alongside its range of activities, which include ten-pin bowling, mini golf, shuffleboard, tech darts, pool tables, arcade games, ping pong and shooting pods.
With many families looking for places to watch matches together, the venue hopes to provide an alternative setting where football fans of different generations can enjoy the tournament while taking part in other activities.
James Travis, Head of Brand Marketing at Star Pins, said:
"The class of '66 have waited long enough for another win, so giving them a free game felt like the perfect way to celebrate. Whether people come for the football, the bowling, the food or all three, we're all about bringing generations together and creating an atmosphere that everyone can enjoy."
The offer is available to a limited number of people born in 1966 and runs throughout the World Cup tournament period, subject to availability and latest terms.
The venue is based at West Orchards Shopping Centre in Coventry city centre.
